WATCH: Rising Ground Joins the Vibrant Community at 1333 Broadway | ESRT
February 24, 2025
Foundations are built in the heart of New York City.
Rising Ground – a human services organization that provides resources and skills to individuals and families in New York – has settled in at its new headquarters at ESRT’s 1333 Broadway.
Hear from CEO Alan Mucatel and COO Lissa Southerland as they discuss the building’s central location and seamless partnership with ESRT.
On the Building’s Convenient Location
“[1333 Broadway’s neighborhood] is centrally located; Rising Ground is throughout New York City, so that means staff can come here for training and meetings, and we can go out to those spaces very easily through public transportation. Staff are happy to be here because it’s a vibrant community, there are places to go shopping, there is food to be had, and they can get to and from their homes very easily.”
On the Lease Signing Process
“From lease signing to move in, it was an amazing experience. ESRT is a very sophisticated landlord, and they walked us through all the things we needed to do to get our lease completed. They worked with our architectural teams and our design teams to really allow us to infuse Rising Ground into the space.”
On Sustainability Partnership
“One of the things that we pride ourselves [on] here at Rising Ground – and this was a nice synergy between us and ESRT – is that we really try to be as much of a sustainable organization as possible. Because we have a partnership with ESRT and because the buildings are so sustainable, it is pushing us in that direction, which is exciting for our staff.”
