ESB Wins! Empire State Building Takes Major BOMA Awards and Landmark Icon of the Year

The team at Empire State Realty Trust has reason to celebrate!  

ESRT recently announced that the Empire State Building received three prestigious awards from BOMA and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce through the teams’ dedication to the tenant experience, the building’s modernized, amenity-rich property, and its world-class brand.

BOMA Earth Award

The Empire State Building was also granted the 2023 BOMA Earth Award, that highlights the building’s sustainability and ESG initiatives. The company’s continued leadership in sustainability and energy efficiency has reduced greenhouse gas emissions at the Empire State Building by 54% and the entire portfolio by 43%. As a leader in the industry, ESRT ensures that the Empire State Building outperforms its peers and maintains its best-in-class results in energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and healthy buildings. 

Landmark Icon of the Year Award

The Manhattan Chamber of Commerce recognized the Empire State Building as the Landmark Icon of the Year for the iconic building’s significant cultural contributions and innovative approach to modernization. Throughout the last 92 years, the “World’s Most Famous Building” has continued to be a cultural icon that attracts millions of visitors from around the globe each year. The Empire State Buildings reimagined Observatory Experience was recently named the #1 attraction in the United States by Tripadvisor travelers for the second consecutive year.
